  • How do I make an appointment with you?
To make a career advising appointment, Spartans can log into Handshake (using their MSU NetID and password), click on “Career Center,” then select “Appointments” and “Schedule a New Appointment.” Appointments are offered both in-person and virtually, year-round.
  • What types of services do you offer?
    Services include:
    • Access to Handshake, MSU’s career management platform with thousands of internship and job postings.
    • One-on-one advising appointments.
    • A variety of career education resources to support students’ career exploration and planning processes, plus curated resources for students from specific populations.
    • Career assessments for students exploring majors and career paths.
    • MSU Connect, a platform connecting the Spartan community through mentorship and purposeful connections.
    • Hundreds of annual career events aimed at exploring fields and connecting with alumni and employers, including in-person and virtual career fairs.
    • Data on First Destination Career Outcomes for Spartans (published annually).
  • What does a typical appointment with you look like?
Appointments, which are offered in-person and virtually throughout the week, typically last 25-30 minutes. Students are able to select a topic and submit notes at the time of booking to steer the conversation.
  • Do I have to be a junior or senior to meet with you?
No! In fact, most students engage with the Career Services Network throughout their time at MSU.
  • What happens when I graduate?

Spartans have access to Career Services for two full years after they graduate.
