BIOGRAPHY

Katie Dyjach is James Madison’s executive assistant to Dean Cameron G. Thies. Dyjach joined JMC in December of 2015 after working many years in the College of Human Medicine’s department of surgery.

Dyjach earned her bachelor's degree in psychology with a minor in management at Albion College and went on to pursue her master's degree in business management with a concentration in organizational behavior at Case Western Reserve University’s Weatherhead School of Management.

A Michigan-native, Dyjach loves traveling (road trips are kind of her thing), hiking in the Upper Peninsula, and walking the beaches of Lake Michigan. Some of her favorite locations are the Sleeping Bear Dunes and the Leelanau Peninsula.

In addition to traveling, Dyjach is a dedicated mom who loves spending time with her family, is passionate about DEI and mental-health awareness issues and enjoys singing and photography.

A fun fact about Dyjach: Three of her photos were showcased at the College for Creative Studies and she held a gallery of her photography for sale at the Majestic Theatre, both located in downtown Detroit.
