Joseph Agosta
Joseph Agosta joined James Madison College in February 2025 as the Associate Director of Development. He leads the college’s fundraising and alumni engagement efforts to support scholarships, faculty research, experiential learning and programmatic priorities.
Agosta is a proud James Madison College alumnus (IR ’22). Prior to returning to JMC, he worked at the University of Michigan’s College of Literature, Science, and the Arts, where he managed stewardship for major donors and contributed to cross-campus development initiatives. He also brings experience in corporate philanthropy and nonprofit engagement from his time at Jackson.

Vicki Essenmacher
Vicki Essenmacher joined James Madison College in February 2026 as the Development Assistant. She supports the college’s fundraising and alumni engagement efforts to advance scholarships, faculty research, experiential learning and other programmatic priorities.
A proud MSU alumna, Vicki earned a B.A. in English (1994) and a master’s in Educational Administration (2007). Prior to JMC, she held a range of advancement roles at MSU, including director of digital marketing, regional alumni relations director, college alumni officer and development secretary.
