Four Interdisciplinary Majors

James Madison College offers four distinctive undergraduate majors that prepare students for careers in government, international relations, law, business, and public service:

  • Comparative Cultures and Politics (CCP): Examines how culture and politics intersect in global public affairs through a humanities and social sciences approach
  • International Relations (IR): Focuses on international security, political economy, global governance, and foreign policy analysis
  • Political Theory and Constitutional Democracy (PTCD): Explores philosophical and historical foundations of political communities and democratic practice
  • Social Relations and Policy (SRP): Investigates public policy issues through the lens of group relations in the United States and internationally
