JMC Fall Welcome

Welcome to James Madison College! We are excited to have you join us in-person this fall. As part of your first few days on campus, we've created a number of Fall Welcome activities that we hope will inform, engage, and acclimate you to the JMC community.

JMC Student Organization and Resource Fair

Aug. 23, 1:00 - 2:45 pm, Club Spartan (338 Case Hall) and 3rd Floor Case Hall Classrooms

Visit the 3rd floor of Case Hall to meet with various JMC affiliated student organizations and find out how to get involved during your first year! Stop by the JMC Library (332 Case Hall) to meet JMC staff who will share information about the various resources available to you and give away FREE JMC swag!

JMC Colloquium

Aug. 23, 3:00 - 5:00 pm, Wilson Hall Auditorium (Room C102) 

Join James Madison College faculty and staff as we officially welcome you to Michigan State University and James Madison College! During our colloquium, you will meet James Madison College leadership, faculty, and staff, learn about programs that JMC offers, and meet other first-year JMC students.

In addition, we will launch the first of our Modeling Tough Conversations series. As part of the series, Professor Simon and Professor Aronoff will discuss the historical context and tropes of antisemitism, some of its common characteristics in the context of the US, and its consequences. Professor Khalil will discuss the phenomenon of Islamophobia, some of its common characteristics in the context of the US, and its consequences. All first-year JMC students are required to attend.
