Dean's Note: Help open doors for Madison students

Summary

JMC’s Experiential Learning Fund is a vital tool in ensuring our students are prepared for their futures.

While the heart of James Madison College is firmly rooted within the classrooms of Case Hall, the impact of our students extends around the world.

Whether it’s policy analysis in D.C. or studying international relations at NATO headquarters in Brussels, JMC students engage in experiential learning that shapes both their careers and our world. Last year alone, almost a third of our students completed internships or studied abroad.

JMC’s Experiential Learning Fund ensures that all Madison students can participate in these opportunities, regardless of their financial circumstances. In the 2023-24 academic year, the college provided 70 experiential learning scholarships to our students, awarding more than $165,000 in financial support.

On March 11, 2025, Spartans will unite for Give Green Day, a 24-hour celebration of generosity that directly supports our students.

On Give Green Day, your contributions to JMC's Experiential Learning Fund will:

  • Enable Madison students to participate in unpaid/low-paid internships
  • Support study abroad and leadership development opportunities
  • Cover essential costs including tuition, travel, and housing
  • Ensure all students can access these experiences regardless of financial background

We invite you to join us on March 11 and make a difference in a Madison student's journey. Your gift will open doors to experiences that will shape our students’ time at MSU and beyond.
