Dear James Madison Community,
We write today regarding recent Supreme Court decisions relating to affirmative action, the rights of LGBTQ+ individuals, and access to higher education. Diversity is paramount to the mission of James Madison College. As such, providing our students with the resources to effect change within public affairs remains our guiding mission.
This mission is only strengthened by diverse viewpoints, representation, and a learning environment that acknowledges the legacies that have prevented affordable access to higher education, while providing resources to effect change and overcome systemic barriers that still exist. We remain steadfast in our continued commitment to fostering an academic society that reflects these principles.
