Giving Tuesday: Support experiential learning at JMC

Summary

On Giving Tuesday, December 2, we’re asking our community to support JMC’s Experiential Learning Fund. Scholarships awarded through this fund help students cover the costs — tuition, travel, housing — that can otherwise put experiential learning opportunities out of reach.

Dec. 2 is Giving Tuesday. You’re invited to support the James Madison College Experiential Learning Fund, which allows more Madison students to study abroad and complete internships by covering essential costs like tuition, travel and housing:

Every semester, Madison students leave Case Hall to test their knowledge in the field. Through JMC’s experiential learning requirement, our students help draft public policy, research human rights issues and work alongside nonprofit organizations tackling complex social challenges.

They travel abroad to learn about international relations in Belgium, explore culture and politics in Brazil and study European politics in France.

These opportunities are where theory meets practice and classroom discussions translate to real-world problem-solving.

This year, we awarded 66 experiential learning scholarships to JMC students. In 2026, we want to do even more.

Your gift — whether $25 or $2,500 — directly supports a student who’s ready to take the next step in their education.

Thank you for investing in the next generation of public servants and leaders.
