Have you considered a career in advocacy, community engagement, nonprofit organizations, or politics? If so, you're in luck! JMC is excited to welcome alumna Portia Chana back to Case Hall to share insights from her professional journey across these fields.
During her time at MSU, Portia was actively involved in the JMC community, serving as a Student Senator, leading her professional development sorority, and working with the college’s Outreach and Recruitment Office. Since graduating, she has built a career in political and nonprofit advocacy, with experience as a Field Organizer for the Human Rights Campaign, working on campaigns with The Hub Project, and, most recently, joining Crooked Media as a Senior Associate in Volunteer and Community Engagement in Washington, D.C.
Whether you’re curious about breaking into advocacy, interested in working in Washington, D.C., or simply exploring where your JMC degree might take you, this is a great opportunity to ask questions, hear candid career advice, and connect with a fellow Spartan.
