2026 JMC Spring Commencement

James Madison College's Spring 2026 Commencement Ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, May 2, at 12:30 p.m. in the Wharton Center.

General Instructions for Degree Candidates:

-Students expecting to graduate in the Spring 2026 semester must apply to graduate by Feb. 27, 2026, to ensure your name is included in the commencement program
(Note: if you have a FERPA restriction on your student account, your name will not appear in the commencement program. Change restrictions in SIS in the “My Profile” tile.)

-Register to participate in a Spring 2026 Commencement Ceremony by April 17. Registration is now open (visit commencement.msu.edu for more details).

-Applications are now open for the JMC Student Commencement Speaker! This is a unique opportunity for a spring or summer 2026 graduating senior to represent the undergraduate class and share a meaningful message at commencement. Apply by Feb. 19.

-If you’re a Spring or Summer 2026 graduate interested in helping to select the Student Commencement Speaker, apply by Feb. 19.

-Arrange for your cap and gown with the MSU Official Graduation Store, the Spartan Spirit Shop. Questions about academic apparel can be emailed to spirit@msu.edu or by calling 517-355-5116.
