The JMC Human Rights Data Science Lab is recruiting for the Spring Semester. Students interested in joining are invited to attend a virtual recruitment meeting on Jan. 13 at 5 p.m. on Zoom (passcode: JMC2020). Share your information via Google Forms to receive an event reminder.
The Lab is focused on providing opportunities for students to engage in policy-relevant research associated with the investigation of human rights violations and the development of specific career-related skills associated with database construction/management, data visualization, remote sensing, and open-source research.
The information produced by the Lab is sent to organizations investigating human rights violations and other issues of international concern. The Lab has worked on projects associated with the International Criminal Court, United Nations, Amnesty International and otherNGO actors. It is a great experience that harnesses rigorous academic research to produce policy relevant information and opportunities for engagement with public affairs.
