Building relationships is a powerful way to gain insights into professions, receive mentorship and support, and access “hidden” opportunities that are often known only through referrals and personal connections. But how do you begin to form a networking strategy?

Join James Madison College’s Career Services and Field Experience Offices for a workshop that will empower you to articulate the value of maintaining a professional online presence to support career exploration and internship/job searches; describe approaches to curating and managing a professional online presence; implement strategies for finding relevant connections using existing relationships, alumni, and searches related to interests and goals; and initiate appropriate and effective communication with professional connections.

Note: Students can earn credit toward JMC's Career Readiness Badge by participating in this program.
