JMC Human Rights Data Science Lab is recruiting for the Fall semester. Students engage in policy-relevant research associated with the investigation of human rights violations and develop career-related skills associated with database construction/management, data visualization, remote sensing, and open-source research.
The information produced by the Lab is sent to organizations investigating human rights violations and other issues of international concern. The Lab has worked on projects associated with the International Criminal Court, United Nations, Amnesty International, and other NGO actors. The lab is a great experience that harnesses rigorous academic research to produce policy relevant information and opportunities for engagement with public affairs.
If you’re interested in joining the lab then use this link to sign up via Google Forms and come to our Zoom recruitment meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 2, at 6:30 p.m. (https://msu.zoom.us/j/8533496076 | Password: JMC2020).
