PRIME Leadership Program
Overview
Lansing-area students interested in future careers in international relations and public affairs are invited to apply to participate in the Pre-Residential Immersive Madison Experience (PRIME) Leadership Program.
Led by the Office of Justice, Equity and Inclusion, PRIME allows Lansing high school students to learn more about the academic and professional opportunities that exist at James Madison College. The program encourages participants to consider future careers in public policy, law, political science, government and international affairs.
2025 Leadership Academy
PRIME is now accepting applications for its March 2025 Leadership Academy, an alternative spring break program hosted at JMC from March 24-28.
During the week-long Leadership Academy, students will:
- Attend mock JMC classes with Madison faculty members;
- Learn more about JMC’s four majors;
- Tour MSU campus;
- Connect with faculty, staff, and students;
- Participate in a variety of educational activities;
- Learn more about scholarship opportunities to attend MSU and JMC.
Students who attend high school within Ingham County are eligible to apply.
Complete your application via Qualtrics.
Once applications are processed, select students will be invited to interview with JMC faculty and staff for placement in the program. Those selected will be notified in early March.
