First-year James Madison College students are invited to join faculty and staff as we officially welcome you to Michigan State University and JMC! During our colloquium, you will meet James Madison College leadership, faculty, and staff, learn about programs that JMC offers, and meet other first-year JMC students.
In addition, we will launch the first of our Modeling Tough Conversations series. As part of the series, Professor Simon and Professor Aronoff will discuss the historical context and tropes of antisemitism, some of its common characteristics in the context of the US, and its consequences. Professor Khalil will discuss the phenomenon of Islamophobia, some of its common characteristics in the context of the US, and its consequences. All first-year JMC students are required to attend.
