February 10, 2023 - Beth Brauer and Claire Smith (JMC '25)
James Madison College, or JMC, offers several opportunities for high school students to learn about Michigan State University’s residential college experience for students pursuing international relations or public affairs. Meet Madison Days, an event for admitted high school seniors, begins February 24 and continues through April 21.
The event offers prospective students the opportunity to learn more about the JMC curriculum, educational programs and the benefits of a living-learning community. Attendees will meet the student affairs team, who will speak to them about JMC internships, research, study abroad, career services, academic opportunities and the Office of Justice, Equity and Inclusion.
Additionally, students will experience a mock course with JMC professors, giving them a taste of the small, interactive, discussion-based classes characteristic of JMC’s living-learning community, while parents or guardians attend an advising session. Current students will be on hand for a panel discussion, and tours of Case Hall will follow.
There is still space available for the April 7 and April 21 sessions. Register today. All events begin at 2 p.m. and run for approximately an hour and a half.
