Julia Grant

Julia Grant is Professor Emeritus of Social Policy and History at James Madison College, Michigan State University and former Associate Dean. She is the author of "Raising Baby by the Book: The Education of American Mothers" (New Haven: Yale University Press, 1998), coeditor with Barbara Beatty and Emily Cahan of "When Science Encounters the Child: Education, Parenting and Child Welfare in Nineteenth-Century America" (Teachers College Press, 2008), and "The Boy Problem: Educating Boys in Urban America, 1870-1970," (Johns Hopkins University Press, 2014). She is a 1998 recipient of the MSU Teacher-Scholar Award.
