Karissa, an Assistant Director with MSU’s Career Services Network, has been serving James Madison College since 2015. Through one-on-one advising and an array of programming, she assists students and recent graduates with exploring the career paths available to them, preparing for professional opportunities (both during and after college), and connecting with alumni and employers in fields of interest. Prior to her time at JMC, Karissa worked for over half a decade as a Legislative Director in the Michigan House of Representatives. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Theory and Constitutional Democracy and a Master of Arts in Critical Studies in Literacy and Pedagogy— both from MSU.
