Career Conversation with MSU Alumnus Burton Gerber

Thu, November 2, 2023 3:00 PM at JMC Library (332 Case)

Interested in learning more about a career in intelligence? JMC is proud to welcome Spartan alumnus Burton Gerber, who served in the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency for 39 years, to Case Hall for a conversation about his career path.

Mr. Gerber worked primarily in operations concerned with the former Soviet Union and the former Warsaw Pact countries. In addition to serving in overseas posts in Eastern Europe, the Middle East and the Soviet Union, Mr. Gerber also directed the Agency's operational programs in the Soviet Union and Europe for eight years. He has spoken and written on questions of espionage and ethics and the importance of espionage and intelligence in the war on terrorism.

Our conversation will be casual in nature; no need to bring anything but your curiosity and questions!
