After 18 months of separation from one another and distance from MSU, it is a great time for us to celebrate coming back together! But it’s also an important moment to ask: how are we coming together? During the time we were apart, the COVID crisis brought vast racial inequities into sharp focus. The murder of George Floyd ignited protests at longstanding police brutality and institutional injustice. Now is a good time for us to reflect: What have we learned about systemic inequality in the harsh light of the pandemic? Are we acting on the lessons of our times? Are we coming together in more racially just and equitable ways?
Join us for a daylong Teach-In organized by the three residential colleges of MSU to envision ways to make change in our community.
This TEACH-IN TO ADVANCE RACIAL EQUITY AND ADVOCACY AT THE THREE RESIDENTIAL COLLEGES is organized by the 3R AREA Program with financial support from the Office of Inclusion and Intercultural Initiatives and the Frances Baldwin Mulnix Endowed Fund.
