Join JMC and alumnus Dr. Dennis Rasmussen (PTCD, 2000) for this year's Constitution Day lecture. Dr. Rasmussen's lecture will explore topics addressed in his new book Fears of a Setting Sun: The Disillusionment of America's Founders.
Dennis C. Rasmussen is Professor of Political Science at Syracuse University’s Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs and a James Madison College alumnus (class of 2000). He is the author of four books, including Fears of a Setting Sun: The Disillusionment of America’s Founders and The Infidel and the Professor: David Hume, Adam Smith, and the Friendship That Shaped Modern Thought.
Constitution Day commemorates the anniversary of the 1787 signing of the U.S. Constitution and is intended to increase student awareness and appreciation of this important document.
