Chinese Investment, Infrastructure Development and Labor Rights in Cambodia featuring Dr. Sopheak Chann

Over the last decade, China has become the main international financial supporter of Cambodia, one of the fastest-growing economies in Southeast Asia. To accommodate such growth, infrastructure expansions in which Chinese enterprises have played different roles, including investors, developers, and constructors. Dr. Sopheak Chann's research looks into the working conditions in mega infrastructure construction projects, focusing primarily on PPNIA and PPSHVE. In this lecture, Dr. Chann will detail how the construction industry dynamics in Cambodia have shaped working conditions in Chinese-led construction projects.
