Jason Mott is a best-selling author. Mott's fourth book, entitled Hell of a Book, discusses racism, police violence, and the lived experiences of African Americans. Mott's book has received the following recognitions: 

  • National Book Award for Fiction; 
  • Carnegie Medals for Excellence in Fiction Longlist selection; 
  • 2022 Aspen Words Literary Prize Longlist selection; 
  • 2022 Chatauqua Prize Finalist;
