Visit James Madison College

General Campus/Dorm Room Tours

Please note a visit at James Madison College will primarily focus on the Madison program, and -for safety and security reasons- will not include viewing a dorm room. You may want to consider scheduling an MSU Admissions visit on the same day as your James Madison College visit to learn more about MSU’s campus and offerings. These visits can be scheduled online. If you would like to see a dorm room in South Neighborhood like those in Case Hall (suite-style), you can sign up for a specific hall tour through the REHS Outreach Office at (517) 884-0640 or online.

Green and White Days

Green and White Days are beneficial to high school sophomores and juniors interested in visiting campus over the summer. Each day is packed with great information about MSU admissions, academics and majors, campus life, housing, scholarships, and life as a Spartan student. As part of each Green and White Day, students have the option to visit 2 academic units, including James Madison College. Sign up for this program to learn more about MSU and JMC! Green & White Days will be held on July 21-July 28, 2017. James Madison College presentations will be held at 10:45 each day. Sign Up Online.

Future Spartans Programs

Current sophomores and juniors are encouraged to attend one of these programs to learn more about life in one of MSU’s Residential Colleges. College Fairs & High School Visits

Representatives from James Madison College often travel with the MSU Admissions Counselors as they visit high schools throughout the Midwest. We are also often found behind the MSU table at college fairs around the country.

Individual Appointments

You and your family can also set up an individual appointment to meet with an advisor in the JMC Admissions Office. Please call 517-353-5260 or email jmcadmin to set up an appointment.

Appointments over the summer (May-August) include a meeting with a JMC academic advisor. They do not include dorm tours, class visits, or meetings with students or faculty. Over the summer, James Madison College faculty and students are generally not in session and routine maintenance of Case Hall is being performed. Also, during the months of June and July, Case Hall is the home of the Academic Orientation Program for all students admitted to MSU for Fall 2016, so academic advisors are generally unavailable from Monday-Thursday, 10:30am-4pm. Please keep this in mind when reaching out to schedule a visit.
