In celebration of MLK Day, the College Inclusion Committee will celebrate civil rights activism with a special performance by Ariana Brown. Bio: Ariana Brown is a Black Mexican American poet from the Southside of San Antonio, Texas. She has two ethnic studies degrees and can moonwalk better than anyone in this room. Ariana started writing and slamming as a teen, competing and coaching for youth slams in Austin and San Antonio. In 2014, she was a competing member of the winning team at the national collegiate poetry slam. She writes a lot about what it's like to exist in her body and how to unlearn the shame that sometimes comes with it. She is lowkey a curandera and highkey the yungest abuela you will ever meet.
