Emma Slonina is a Visiting Instructor of Political Theory and Constitutional Democracy, teaching Constitutional Democracy and a senior seminar on the trials of Socrates, Jesus, Galileo, and Eichmann.

She is currently completing her Ph.D. in the Department of Political Science here at Michigan State University, writing her dissertation on moral education in Rousseau’s novel, Julie, which she will defend Spring 2020. Her broad research interests include modern political thought, especially Rousseau‘s and others’ responses to the Enlightenment, women in political thought, liberal education, citizenship and virtue, and pedagogy.   For more information, please visit her website at http://emmaslonina.com.
