1995-96
The JMC Writing Consultancy wins the support of the College to become the first and only unit level consultancy at Michigan State University.With guidancefromProfessor Tremonte, pioneering JMC consultants offer one-to-one consulting and evening workshops.1996-97
The consultants add classroom presentations to their repertoire. Consultants present research at a national Peer Tutoring conference.1997-98
The consultants move into their current location in the South Lounge seminar room; use of the consultancy continues to grow.1998-99
The JMC Writing Consultancy web page is launched under the guidance of Professor Evans.1999-00
The Consultancy expands to six employees under the guidance of Professor Berg. Consultants hone their skills at theUniversity Writing Center Fall Workshop.2000-01
A record-breaking 80 students attend the popular "How to Take an Essay Exam" evening workshop.The Consultancy adds evening workshops on resumes and personal statements.
Senior Consultants Kathleen Romig and Andrew Krepps win prestigious fellowships.
2001-02
Sophomore consultants are hired to offer expert help in first-year writing workshops.Current consultancy webmaster B. Schuyler Edwards is hired, and there is much rejoicing.
2002-03
After seeing a record number of clients in 2001-2002, the Consultancy expands to 7 consultants.JMC Consultants attend a state-wide "State of the Art" conference on Peer Consulting in October 2002
