THE RANDALL SMITH/M. RICHARD ZINMAN AWARD FOR STUDY ABROAD

JAMES MADISON COLLEGE
ANNUAL AWARD

This award is designed to assist students who wish to expand their academic experience through Study Abroad. If you are a James Madison College student undertaking a Study Abroad program during Summer 2007, Fall 2007, or Spring 2008, please pick up an application from the JMC Field Experience Office at 329 Case Hall.

The DEADLINE for application for any of the semesters is MARCH 2, 2007.

The Smith/Zinman Study Abroad Award of $1,000 will be used toward tuition, room, and board and will be credited to you during the tuition payment process.

Requirements:
Please attach to the application form a 500-word essay that describes the significance of Study Abroad experience as part of your James Madison College academic program, and a letter of recommendation from a JMC faculty member. Class rank will also be considered in making the award.

All applicants for the Smith-Zinman Award will automatically be considered for the JMC Alumni Association Awards, and Dean’s Awards for Study Abroad, through which a significant number of awards of at least $500 will be available.
