Hello, and welcome to the Madison Academic Diversity Initiative website! MADI is an organization dedicated to helping first-year students make a smooth academic, cultural and social transition from high school to college. It is an excellent program for incoming students who are looking to be paired up with a current student at James Madison College and learn tips on how to move through the college waters or even for a current JMC student looking to get more involved. What you get out of this experience is what you put into it: some students form great friendships with their mentor/mentee and others in the program while other students meet more people within James Madison and learn about different resources available to them.
