School Supplies to a School in Mexico

Gaby Tanner, the JMC Coordinator of Diversity Programming took school supplies to the school “Diana Laura de Colosio” in Gomez Palacio, Mexico. The school will provide students with school supplies and books for their education thanks to the donations of faculty and staff from James Madison College and the College of Education. The director of the school, Rosa Guadalupe Flores Raygoza, received the donations and wishes to express her gratitude to those who donated materials.

The school “Diana Laura de Colosio” is located in the suburbs of the city. It has two groups of 35 kindergarteners, ages 4 and 5. In the shadows of a major penitentiary, it is a low income neighborhood where the majority of parents are in jail or hard laborers.
