Most gifts to James Madison College are designated to the College’s Annual Fund.  The JMC Annual Fund is unrestricted, meaning the Dean is able to allocate these private gifts to the areas of greatest need at James Madison College. 

The College has established other funds with a special purpose in mind.  You can make your next gift to one of the many funds listed below.  Donations to multiple funds are welcomed.  Please visit the links below to help you find the right designation(s) for your gift to James Madison College.

James Madison College has 11 expendable funds, meaning the contributions are spent for the stated purpose within a year or two of the donation. You can click on the allocation code in the right column to make a donation online to that particular fund.

The College currently has 24 endowed funds accepting contributions.  Gifts to endowment funds are invested for perpetuity and the income from these investments is spent for the stated purpose of the endowment each year.

A number of Memorial funds have been established to create a lasting legacy for some special Madisonians.

Scholarship funds help students pay their tuition bills and thus lower the financial barriers to higher education along with rewarding academic and civic excellence.  Both expendable and endowed funds can support scholarships.
