Heather Ricketts - US Senator Carl Levin
As Deputy Finance Director for U. S. Senator Carl Levin's re-election campaign, I spent about 50% of my day planning for the best-case scenarioand the other 50% trying to roll with the punches as they come. I work withour Finance Director (SR '99) to make sure that we can raise sufficient funds to not only ensure Senator Levin's win but to help the rest of the Democratic ticket. Daily work includes planning fundraising events, writing and prospecting Direct Mail and working with our online interface to affectively use the web for fundraising. Before working on Senator Levin's campaign, I was on the fundraising team for Senator Stabenow's 2006 re-election campaign as well as working in Former House Democratic Leader Dianne Byrum's legislative office and managing her 2004 re-election campaign. In 2004, I was the youngest delegate from Michigan (second youngest in the nation) to the Democratic National Convention in Boston .
