Gary Naeyaert - Naeyaert Advocacy Group
For more than two decades, Gary G. Naeyaert has been a professional advocate specializing in government relations, public policy, advertising, marketing and earned media. In 2005 he formed Naeyaert Advocacy Group, LLC, a government relations and public affairs consulting firm based in Lansing . The firm's clients include private sector corporations, business and trade associations, public sector entities, coalitions and non-profits. Naeyaert was Director of Government & Public Relations for the Michigan Road Builders Association (MRBA) from 2000-2005. Prior to MRBA, he was appointed by Governor John Engler as Director of Communications for the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT), where he served from 1997-2000. From 1986 through 1997, Naeyaert was a partner and co-founder of Creative Media, Inc. (CMI), an advertising agency and public relations firm in East Lansing . He began his professional career in 1983-1986 as Assistant Media Director at Marketing Resource Group, Inc. (MRG), the state's preeminent political consulting firm. Naeyaert is a 1983 graduate of James Madison College at Michigan State University and attended Thomas M. Cooley Law School .
