Doug Hyne - Lovenberg & Associates
Doug Hyne is a 1997 graduate of James Madison College at Michigan State University where he earned his B.A. in Political Theory and Constitutional Democracy.   After graduation, Doug worked at the Center for Education Reform, a public policy group located in Washington , D.C.   Later that year, Doug returned to his hometown of Cleveland , Ohio and co-founded the Aspire Learning Corporation, an internet-based educational software company.   In the fall of 1999, Doug relocated to Boston , Massachusetts and enrolled at the New England School of Law.  While in law school, Doug worked for the City of Boston as an administrative hearing officer and devoted substantial time to the Volunteer Lawyers Project, a coalition of attorneys in the Boston area who provide free legal services to low income clients.   Doug also had the honor of serving as the Editor-in-Chief of the New England Journal on Criminal and Civil Confinement. 

                                     

Upon graduating with his J.D. in 2002, Doug returned to the Washington , D.C. area and was admitted to practice in the state of Maryland .  Almost immediately after passing the bar exam, Doug moved back to Boston in order to be closer to his then girlfriend, Jennifer.  After a brief stint occupying a cubicle in corporate America , Doug accepted a position with the law firm of Lovenberg & Associates in 2003.   He continues to work at Lovenberg & Associates and was recently named partner.  Doug concentrates his practice in the area of personal injury, but maintains a diverse caseload which includes general civil and criminal matters, divorce and custody proceedings, discrimination suits, professional licensure hearings and landlord-tenant disputes.   He has had the pleasure of conducting numerous trials throughout the Commonwealth and has argued before the Massachusetts Appellate Court on three occasions.  Doug is a member of the Massachusetts and Maryland Bar Associations, the National Lawyers Guild and the Boston Bar Association.   Doug married Jennifer in May of 2005.  They reside in Abington , Massachusetts .
