Jennie Gies – State Representative Kathleen Law
Jennie is a legislative assistant for State Representative Kathleen Law of House District 23. As a legislative assistant, she manages and resolves constituent inquiries and concerns regarding state government issues and legislation; conducts legislative research and oversees the representative's legislative priorities and requests; manages the representative's schedule; and organizes community events, cable shows and town halls.

Her previous experience includes serving as legislative assistant for Senator Gretchen Whitmer, Deputy Campaign Manager for Gretchen Whitmer for State Senate, and central staff for House Democratic Communications.

Jennie graduated from Michigan State University in 2004 with a bachelors degree in social relations. She is a member of the Ingham County Women's Commission, Lansing 's Foster Your Neighborhood Association, Planned Parenthood Young Leaders and Michigan 's National Organization of Women.
