While in school, I interned for a US Congressman one summer and at the US State Department another, so I figured that experience combined with an IR degree would get me into a government position of some sort .   It didn't .   But I was able to get an interview with CH Robinson (TMC) in Chicago .   It was a perfect fit .   In the 1 . 5 years that I've been in the logistics and transportation management industry, I've been able control vast amounts of territory for my client's freight, Coca Cola, take part in training and career advancement seminars, as well as travel for business summits, both domestically and internationally .   Currently I manage all of Coca Cola's glass bottle imports from Mexico , which does require on site visits to their local facilities .   That role will soon expand to include prospective imports from South American and Asia, which will no doubt see me traveling to those locales to weigh in on behalf of my company and our client
